Randstad Canada’s legal and contractual services team acts as a trusted advisor and strategic partner, supporting the company’s business and strategic goals.
Serving six business divisions, the team delivers innovative, proactive, and timely legal and compliance solutions — all while maintaining a focus on cost efficiency.
As part of its mandate to mitigate legal and regulatory risks, the department is also responsible for contract management and oversight.
After assessing the strengths and weaknesses of its existing systems and processes, the legal team set out to find a solution that could integrate with front-office systems and meet the specific needs of multiple business units.
“We saw a clear opportunity to significantly improve communication and workflow between the legal and sales departments,”
explains Michelle Miranda, Director of Contracts and Legal Affairs, who led the project.
She identified several key objectives, including:
The evaluation process for contract management software was extensive. Ms. Miranda worked closely with her IT partner to assess various contract management tools used by other Randstad entities.
“Legal Suite was already in use at Randstad France, and we decided to build on that existing relationship by expanding the software’s use for complete end-to-end contract management,” she notes.

Implementing Septeo Legal Suite’s Contract Management module enabled Randstad to eliminate inefficiencies in managing client agreements and automate key controls related to contract issuance, approval, and registration.
With improved processes in place, the sales team now has quick and easy access to client requirements, enabling faster review and response times.
Meanwhile, the legal and contract teams are equally pleased with the results.
